Teacher Record Keeping goes hand in hand with organization. This is another area I struggle to find the most efficient way to keep track of all the "stuff" that goes on during the day. Finding an easier way to keep up with the strengths and challenges of all my students will help me be a more thoughtful teacher.

Here's a start to what I have found so far.
TeacherKit (I think this one was free)
Here I can track
attendance, grades and behavior. At this time I have been using it for
behavior notes and parent contact notation. I may begin using it to
keep track of morning work and homework.
Confer ($14.99)
I
have really only begun to play with this one. It is complex and I do
not have a lot of time. The features I like most is the sorting
ability. You can notate NEXT STEP, STRENGTH, TEACHING POINT &
LEVEL. With a quick sort I can find all my kids who need to work on a
specific task and meet with them. Or I can find a student with a
specific need and a student who has that need as a strength and partner
them up during buddy read. I can tag my kids to show who is 'low risk',
'some risk' or 'at risk'. Of course, I can sort them by level as well.
